Specialty
Cerebral Revascularization
Cerebral bypass to restore blood flow in cases of chronic ischemia and occlusive diseases.

Overview
Cerebral revascularization is a highly specialized microsurgical technique that consists of creating new pathways for blood flow to the brain. It is indicated for Moyamoya disease, complex aneurysms that require occlusion of the main artery, and refractory intracranial atherosclerosis. The procedure involves the microsurgical anastomosis of extracranial arteries with intracranial arteries (EC-IC bypass).
